How to filter comments
Use filters to narrow down the comments in your analysis. You can filter by sentiment, relevance, keyword, and comment type in the Explore section.
Filter in the Explore card
The Explore card sits above the Insights card in your analysis. This is where you access all filtering options.
Open an existing analysis or create a new one
In the Explore card, click the top right "Select Filters"
Choose how you want to filter:
Sentiment — filter comments by positive, negative, or neutral sentiment
Relevance — filter comments by how relevant they are to the post topic
Keywords — search for specific words or phrases in comments
Comment Types — filter by the type of comment (questions, feedback, etc.)
Usernames — filter comments from specific commenters
Apply your filters
Use shortcuts for quick filtering
Shortcuts are preset filters for common use cases. In the Explore card, click any shortcut to quickly filter your comments:
Sentiment or Relevance — quick access to the most common filters
Keyword/Mention — find comments containing specific keywords or @mentions
Question — show only comments that ask questions
Criticism Towards Creator — filter to negative comments about the creator
Support Towards Creator — filter to positive comments about the creator
Awareness — comments showing brand or product awareness
Category Support — comments expressing support for a category or topic
Conversion — comments showing purchase intent or buying behavior
Evaluation — comments evaluating or comparing options
Feedback — comments providing direct feedback
Filter by sentiment from the Insights card
You can also jump directly to sentiment filtering from the Insights card.
Open an existing analysis
Hover over the sentiment section in the Insights card
Click Filter by sentiment
This opens the Explore card with sentiment filters ready to apply.
What happens when you filter
After you apply filters or search, a new analysis tab appears below the Explore card. This tab contains:
Context for your search or filter
Metrics for the filtered comment set
Its own Insights card showing themes and topics from those comments
Each filter or search you run creates a separate tab, so you can compare different views of your comments without losing your original analysis.
