On X, LinkedIn, and Facebook, Reposts are treated as Shares.

Engagement Rate

Siftsy calculates engagement rate at the individual post level and then averages across multiple posts.

The engagement rate for a post is equal to the topline view or impression count divided by all engagements (likes + comments + shares + saves + reposts).

Account follower or subscriber counts do not factor into engagement rate.

For multiple post selections, the engagement rate is averaged across all of the posts, each post weighed equally.

If a view or impression count is not available for a post, Siftsy does not calculate an engagement rate for that post (displaying N/A), and it is not included in a multiple post engagement rate.

Platform limitations

Each supported platform has the following access and metrics limits, as is supported by their Public Content APIs.

Instagram

View/impression count not supported for static image posts
Posts that are age-gated by the account or the platform may be restricted and not treated as public by Instagram, and may not be accessible.

TikTok

Posts that are both age-gated and paid promotions are not treated as public by TikTok, and are not accessible at the moment

YouTube

Fully supported. No known upload or metrics limitations at this time

X

Partial support for user avatars

View/impression count not supported

Facebook

Public Page posts only
Posts from personal profiles and groups are currently not supported
Only likes, comments, and shares are available; views, saves, and reaction breakdown are not
Comment usernames and avatars are masked

Account link formats

When adding posts by account link, these are the accepted URL and handle formats for each supported platform.

Facebook personal profiles (/people/...) and Groups are not supported for account link upload.
