Use this guide to resolve common problems you might encounter when using Siftsy.
Posts not syncing
If your posts seem stuck or aren't processing, the issue depends on what you see in the Sync status modal:
Syncing is taking longer than usual— Platform APIs can be slow or rate-limited. Wait a few minutes and check again. Posts with thousands of comments can take up to a few hours.
Post cannot be found— The link may be invalid, the post may have been deleted, or the account may be private. See How posts are processed for a full list of content that can't be analyzed.
Temporary platform issues— If many posts are stuck at once, the platform may be experiencing an outage. Wait and try again later.
If a single post fails to process after several hours, you can remove it and try uploading again. See How to sync posts for current refresh options.
Posts show as Unavailable or Held
Unavailable and Held are status categories in the Processing status modal. Click Sync status in the toolbar to open the modal, then expand the Unavailable or Held section to see which posts it lists.
Siftsy can only analyze public posts. If you see errors when uploading, check:
Private accounts — Posts from private accounts cannot be accessed
Deleted content— Posts that have been removed from the platform cannot be retrieved
Invalid links— Make sure the URL points directly to a post, not a profile or hashtag page
Locked content— Some posts are not accessible due to platform restrictions or privacy settings
Posts that fail to fetch don't count against your MAPs limit. If the post is public and on a supported platform but still fails, the platform may be temporarily unavailable—wait and try again.
MAPs limit reached
If you can't upload more posts, you may have reached your Monthly Analyzed Posts (MAPs) limit:
Check your remaining MAPs in Team Settings > Usage & Billing
Archive posts you no longer need — archived posts still count toward your limit, but this helps organize your workspace
Upgrade your plan in Team Settings > Account > Plans if you need more capacity
